Lewis Wray, Group Manager, Modaxo and Managing Director, Taranto

Lewis has led the Taranto team for over 10 years, during which time he has overseen the establishment of Taranto as the market leader in parking enforcement, road user charging and tolling. Lewis has driven Taranto’s innovation journey across both customer facing and back office systems, including the transition to a cloud-based, Platform as a Service (PaaS) solution. The first of its kind in the industry, Taranto’s PaaS system represents a landmark development in parking and enforcement technology infrastructure.

It’s so rewarding to see the results of our hard work translated into the number of awards that we have won over the years – as individuals and in collaboration with our clients.

Dan Holby, Chief Operating Officer

Dan joined Taranto over a decade ago, bringing valuable experience from the client side. Since then, he has taken on several diverse roles at the company and has leveraged his experience and expertise to drive continuous improvement. In 2023, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer, responsible for overseeing day-to-day business operations while also driving strategic and transformative change to support Taranto’s evolution and growth.

The Taranto team is truly like a family – we genuinely care about one another and are deeply committed to helping everyone reach their full potential. This collaborative spirit drives us to consistently deliver the very best outcomes for our business and, most importantly, our valued clients.

It’s been immensely gratifying to witness how the tireless efforts of our remarkable team have propelled our company to new heights year after year, solidifying our position as an industry leader. I feel lucky to have played a role in that success.

Barry Johnson, Senior Technical Director

Barry is one of the founder members of Taranto and is the original architect of the Taranto Parking Enforcement Solution.  Barry leads the Development team, spearheading the product evolution and the roadmap.

At Taranto, we’re more than just a team – it’s more like family.  Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do and we are all very supportive of each other. We know that we work best when we work together. 

Proudest moment At Taranto

One of my proudest moments was being recognised by my peers in the parking industry in last year’s People in Parking Awards. But it wasn’t just an award for me, it was an acknowledgement of the contribution and commitment of everyone that I work with. 

Chris Murphy, Sales Director

Chris has been an integral part of the Taranto team since 2005. He  now leads the sales team, defining the sales strategy, and contributes to the strategic direction of Taranto’s business with a focus on client-centric solutions.

At Taranto, we genuinely want to make a difference for clients and help them to deliver their strategic objectives.  We aim to understand our clients’ needs and focus on the parking and traffic management solution that will work for them.

Seeing my sales team develop and grow. It’s so gratifying to be able to nurture our people’s careers and guide them along the path to success.
