An alternative to the DVLA’s Web-Enabled Enquiries (WEE) service, Taranto’s VRM Lookup Portal gives access to Taranto’s link to the KADOE (Keeper at Date of Event) database. The portal provides keeper-related data to enable enforcement of various offences involving a vehicle. This solution helps councils to identify the current keeper related to an offence such as abandoned vehicles, fly tipping, dog fouling or attacks or anti-social behaviour.
An essential tool for local authority environmental and community services, the Taranto VRM Lookup Portal provides a simple, intuitive interface consisting of an online form for users to enter the essential information to enable enforcement. Back-office administrators simply enter the VRM and basic details, such as date and reason for the enquiry on the form and the next day, they will receive the vehicle keeper information. Additional evidence can also be added such as photos or notes to support the notification of the offence.
Using Taranto’s cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, the portal is always-on, so users don’t need to log onto a dedicated PC or internet connection. An audit trail for the VRM request is also available for compliance with DVLA requirements.
